PATRICIA KIMSEY BOLLINGER
Artist Patricia Kimsey Bollinger has been painting all of her life. She has studied at The Art Students League of New York and holds a B.F.A. from Ohio Wesleyan University. Patricia's paintings are included in the permanent collection of The Union League Club of New York and her work has been reviewed by The Hirshhorn Museum, Smithsonian Institution.
Patricia Kimsey Bollinger is actively dedicated to establishing a traditional arts education in the United States, training the next generation of artists and exploring new dimensions in expressing light and color in her paintings. She is a member of the National Arts Club of New York, The California Art Club, the Oil Painters of America, The Shasta County Arts Council and The North Valley Art League. Patricia she has also taught Painting at: C. Loebers Childrens Art School and Shasta County Arts Council.
Bollinger's brushwork is comprised of expressive, flowing strokes, giving each object she paints a sense of movement. Her palette is bold and lively, and she pursues a variety of subjects from perfectly composed still lifes to dramatic landscapes. Her work invites the viewer to share an inner world as she explores her identity through the roles of artist, teacher, wife and mother. The paintings are examples of her sense of adventure and a glimpse into her imagination, along with of her seemingly effortless painting style.
